Read a Spark: 5/17 – 8/8

Read a Spark BasicIn honor of the release of the movie adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ The Longest Ride, I’ve gotten together with a few fellow readers for the 2015 Read a Spark.  This Read-A-Thon will be co-hosted by myself, Kathy from The Novelty of Life, and Cassandra from ccbooks66512 and kicks off today, May 18th.

The ultimate goal of Read a Spark is to read all eleven book-to-movie adaptations written by Nicholas Sparks (to date) over the next eleven weeks.  We devised the following reading schedule in an attempt to keep ourselves on track for the duration of the Read-A-Thon:

The Longest Ride – 5/18

The Choice – 5/24

The Best of Me – 6/7

Safe Haven – 6/14

The Lucky One – 6/21

The Last Song – 6/28

Dear John – 7/5

Nights in Rodanthe – 7/12

The Notebook – 7/19

A Walk to Remember – 7/26

Message in a Bottle – 8/2

Each week, there will be a new discussion, challenge, activity, etc. posted here on Brewing Up Books that directly pertains to the Read A Spark.  Throughout the Read-A-Thon, we’ll be using the twitter and instagram tag #readaspark.

Anyone can participate in the Read-A-Spark – simply add your name and blog/Goodreads URL to the list below (by clicking the blue button with the picture of a frog) and create an introductory post on your blog, linking back to Brewing Up Books.  Get the box of tissues ready!

  1. Hi friends! Kathy here from the Novelty of Life…just to clarify, I will not be reading all of these books due to time management issues! I don’t know yet which I will be reading, but you will definitely be told! Also, if anyone has any suggestions as to which I should read let me know 🙂
