Please Welcome Our New Cobloggers!

As summer draws to a close and the school year starts up in full swing, we decided it was time for an additional coblogger. About a week and a half ago, we started our search with this post, and we’ve had an overwhelming response. It was extremely challenging to make a decision, particularly because all of the candidates were extremely qualified and excellent reviewers. Ultimately, it came down to who most closely shared our reviewing style and reading tastes in order to appeal to our current audience.

On that note, we’d like to congratulate…

My love for reading, like for so many other people, started with Harry Potter. It was then, like for so many other people, reignited by the Twilight series. Today I am pretty much open to reading anything, from any genre and intended for any age group. Lately, I’ve been trying to break my habit of reading mostly YA and read more adult books / classics. I really enjoy fantasy, sci-fi and mystery novels, as well as dystopia (if it’s original).

Although I’m German, I moved to the UK for uni and am now a first year Psychology student. My spare time I spend reading, watching TV shows and just lazing around on the internet (sorry if you expected me to be a more interesting person…).

Favorite Books: The Book Thief, Dark Places, The Bone People, The Martian

Favorite Series: Harry Potter, Mistborn, Chaos Walking, Raven Cycle

Favorite Authors: J.K. Rowling, Brandon Sanderson, Patrick Ness, Edgar Allan Poe

Put your hands together for our newest edition to the Brewing Up Books team! Alex will be posting with increasing frequency over the next several weeks, and we’ve very excited to see what she can bring to the blog!
