2016 Recap & 2017 Resolutions


I met my Reading Challenge of 50 books throughout 2016 by reading…exactly 50 books!  There were a few ups and downs along the way, including some new favorites and a handful of disappointments.  I started college a few months ago which has been significantly cutting into my reading time, but I’m hoping that this will improve over the next several months!

Discussion: I Like Big Books and I Cannot Lie


I have a confession to make – I absolutely adore enormous books.  In fact, they’ve managed to effectively take over my TBR pile.  I also blame them for rendering me four books behind schedule for my 2015 Goodreads Reading Challenge.  I’ll put it this way, it’s a love/hate relationship.

Bout of Books 14: Days 2 & 3 Progress



Unfortunately, I didn’t meet all of my goals for Day 2 simply due to time constraints.  I’m trying not to beat myself up over it though, because the motto of the week is “flailing, not failing.”  Even though Day 2 came to a bit of a disappointing end, I’m determined to try that much harder for the remainder of the week!

Day 3, on the other hand, was much more successful – I managed to meet all of my goals, and I finished my final summer reading book for school!
