Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish
Come on guys, you didn’t really expect me to post this on time, did you? But, I can confidently say that I’ve finished my revision summaries and I also have everything prepared for Christmas, sooo I can probably sit down and write up some blog posts over the next couple of days. Hooray! But now for the books I’d love to receive for Christmas. I’m not actually getting any of these apart from one (and I may have bought some of the other for myself), but I guess you can say they’re also the books at the top of my to-buy list for 2016!
We’ve decided to introduce a new weekly meme here at Brewing Up Books…Sunday Stumper! Each Sunday, we’ll be posting a literary based challenge, puzzle, game, etc. that can be downloaded on a computer, tablet, or smartphone (or even printed out). The following week, we will post the correct solution to the puzzle, along with a new one. You can complete the puzzle at your leisure throughout the week, and, if you manage to finish it, you can email it to us (firstname.lastname@example.org) for a chance to be featured! The first person to correctly complete the puzzle and email it to us will have their blog or Goodreads account featured on our sidebar and will also be mentioned in our Sunday Stumper post the following week.

Sparkling white snowdrifts, beautiful presents wrapped in ribbons, and multicolored lights glittering in the night through the falling snow. A Christmas Eve snowstorm transforms one small town into a romantic haven, the kind you see only in movies. Well, kinda. After all, a cold and wet hike from a stranded train through the middle of nowhere would not normally end with a delicious kiss from a charming stranger. And no one would think that a trip to the Waffle House through four feet of snow would lead to love with an old friend. Or that the way back to true love begins with a painfully early morning shift at Starbucks. Thanks to three of today’s bestselling teen authors—John Green, Maureen Johnson, and Lauren Myracle—the magic of the holidays shines on these hilarious and charming interconnected tales of love, romance, and breathtaking kisses.
As 2014 comes to a close, we wanted to share some of the gifts that we received this Christmas (maybe to help you use up some of those giftcards?). Our families are huge believers in giftcards, so we’ve amassed quite a few ourselves. If you have any suggestions or recommendations on how we should spend them, feel free to comment below!
As 2014 draws to a close, we bookaholics have one last opportunity to amass a large volume of books in a short time period (every to-read shelf’s worst nightmare): Christmas. While some people may be asking for laptops, or phones, or cars this holiday season, we composed a quite lengthy list of books that we promptly distributed to anyone who asked. We figured we would share our lists with all of you, and we’ll follow this post up with a book haul later this week to show everyone what we received!
